Aaron Rosado

Aaron Rosado is President of the Polytechnic University of Yucatan, a public institution dedicated to developing specialized talent for Industry 5.0. Under his leadership, he positioned the university as the leading institution in Mexico for training and professionalization in Cybersecurity.

He served as General Coordinator of the Strategic Project of the Mayan Train in Yucatan for the Government of Mexico, leading an investment of 30 billion dollars in southeastern Mexico. This monumental infrastructure project focused on boosting economic growth and sustainable development in the country.

His public service also includes the position of National Director of Mexico-United States Transportation at the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transport (SICT). In this role, he coordinated crucial multimodal transportation matters and directed diplomatic activities related to international protocol.

Graduated with honors from the Monterrey Institute of Technology, with a Bachelor's degree in International Trade, his experience in regional development is reinforced by two master's degrees: a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master of Public Administration (MPA). He is a graduate of the Strategy and Leadership Program at the Harvard Kennedy School (HKS) and the Creating Shared Value Program at the Harvard Business School (HBS). His global perspective is enriched by studies and professional experience in United States, Germany, France, and Japan.

  • Development of the Yucatan State Cybersecurity Strategy 2025 - 2030
  • Installation and commissioning of the First Cyber Intelligence and Cyber Resilience Laboratory in Latin America, with an investment of USD $35 million.
  • International Award LatamDigital 2026, positioning the University as the Leader in the development of specialized talent in Cybersecurity for Latin America. 
    National Award in Cybersecurity AMCS 2025, awarded by the Mexico Cybersecurity National Alliance for excellence in the training and professionalization of talent in Cybersecurity.
  • First University at the National Level to open the Engineering in Cybersecurity in the Mixed Modality 60% online and 40% in-person.

  • Coordinate international multimodal transportation and diplomatic activities.

  • Promotion of the Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) Initiative, with an investment of USD $3 billion.

  • Promotion of safe and efficient transportation systems through strengthening the legal framework and designing public policies for the economic and social growth of the country.

  • Promotion of business competitiveness from the academic sector and management of the Dual Education Program with the industry.

  • During his tenure, Yucatán reached first place nationally in industrial growth (12.1% in 2016, according to INEGI).
